I used to love watching the killer whales at sea world in Victoria B.C. when i was young. Tilikum was one of them, but i also remember the tragic accident in 1991 when a young female trainer was grabbed and dragged under, resulting in her tragic death. I feel it`s a sad life for these huge animals, living in tanks, their fins drooping over, and just swimming around in circles, entertaining us. I much prefer watching them in their natural environment, breaching out of the ocean. I am very saddened again to hear of yet another tragic incident with Tilikum and a female trainer last week.I feel this whale is not happy in captivity and should not be able to get this close to people , but at the same time is this just its instinct, after all its name is killer whale....just watch them in the wild they are hunters.
