Sea World Trainer Killed by Killer Whale

An Orca Whale at a Sea World, Orlando sadly proved today why they are called Killer Whales.  Telly the whale took the life of a 40-year-old, female, senior trainer.
Witness Victoria Biniak said she saw the deadly incident from a viewing area.

"The trainer was explaining different things about the whale and then the trainer that was down there walked away from the window. Then Telly (the whale) took off really fast in the tank and he came back, shot up in the air, grabbed the trainer by the waist and started thrashing (her) around," Biniak said. "He was thrashing her around pretty good. It was violent."

Biniak said the attack was so violent that it caused the trainer's shoe to fly off [...]

Killer whale expert Nancy Black said the whale could have been playing and the incident could have been an accident."They are very intelligent creatures. They have emotions, and feelings. Maybe it was unhappy in the situation, maybe it was bored," Black said.

Telly, however, was allegedly  involved in the death of a part time trainer 1991.  He was also believed to be involved in the death of a man in 1999. Perhaps, he is a serial-killer whale?

THIS ANIMAL SHOULD NOT BE KILLED. He was taken out of the wild when he was two years old of course it would be his natural instinct to kill people. Besides, she knew that she could be riscing her life if she entered a tank with a (KILLER) whale. they are given the name for a reason.

i just recently saw two of the killer whale shows at shamu stadium in san diego and i thought they were amazing.but tilikum is the largest whale kept in captivity and there shouln't have been a person in the water with him but we can't just kick him out into the wild he would die in a day for 20 years food has been given to him and he has had to much human contact but he should be moved to iceland in a sea pen even though it is a huge thing to move a 12,000p 5,600kg animal it is hard enough for a person but he definatly shouldn't be killed the trainer dawm brancheau was fully aware of the dangers of a killer whale and they have that name for a reason also tilikum was brought in for the wild in iceland when he was two so he had more killer instincts than captive bread whales.

it is her own fault , anyone who keep wild animals for entertainment are sick people. If a wild animal is saved from the wild and lives in large capivity that is ok because the animal is safe and lives in a basically wild surrounding. Thats what you get for keeping a (killer) whale for some stupid show . The whale should be released back into the wild through slow well planned moves , then the whale can live a free wild life.
