Keeping this dangerous animal is ALL about profit. Only places as rich and powerful as Sea World would be able to hold the law at bay, and keep a 3 time killer for entertainment. I'm sure they know they'll make lots more money in the future, since stupid people will go there just to (hopefully) see someone else die.
If you own a dog that bites, chimpanzee that kills, or any other animal considered dangerous, you can't keep it, yet Sea World can. I'll never go there again, and yes, I used to go quite often.
