In the nothern midwest US (MI, WI, MN) people do this all the time in the winter, if they're snowmobiling, and the lake isn't frozen over, they just speed up a bit.

Of course, every now and then you hear of someone who slowed down too much, or tried to turn, or whatever...that doesn't work as well.

Or you could just go to http://joost.com/presents/gigaom-newteevee/ and sign up, yourself, with no need for an invitation from someone.

And no need to "tip" someone, either.

Because if they had spelled it "Big Stuff", they probably wouldn't have been able to either trademark it, or enforce the trademark. So Hydrox would have come out with their own "Big Stuff" oreo-knockoffs.

The pattern of evenly spaced rings sometimes visible in the exhaust of an engine is typically referred to as shock diamonds or Mach disks. The phenomenon occurs anytime a flow exits a nozzle at supersonic speeds and at a pressure that is different than that of the external atmosphere.

Although VW does still make the VW van in Brazil, they are definately different than the originals. There are still some of the originals driving around too though. :-)
