If there is a true need for this why not come up with some sort of symbology as is used with walk/don't walk signals? Sure, I understand it's easier to see and interpret a symbol when you are on foot as opposed to driving, but if these shapes are considered big enough to differentiate at a vehicular distances and speeds, surely a symbol can be used that would work and be more definitive.

Hmmm... this excess phosphorus is retained in the body instead of being excreted. Where in the body is this stored? Is the excess phosphorus detrimental to the pig (which since it's going to be slaughered may not matter anyway) or is it detrimental to the poor slob who loves bacon? It would be nice to hear the answers to these questions to know if the folks tinkering with the genetics of the pig have thought about the ramifications of their work.

I take this incident as more than just a dad bringing his kid to work. Who else is allowed in the tower, which is supposed to be a secure area? Obviously their security procedures are more than a bit lax.

As for cuplability, the controller's boss is the dumb one for letting the guy bring the kid into the tower to begin with, let alone let him direct aircraft.

An open wi-fi signal broadcast onto my property or into a public space should be available for anyone who can pick it up. It should certainly be illegal to go onto personal property to be able to get the signal, and also illegal to break any encryption scheme in order to use the wi-fi.

People who have wireless networks should not object to others use unless they secure them or not broadcast them outside their own personal space.

My brother has a particular peeve... applying any modifiers to the word "unique". People say "rather uniquie" or "very unique" or "most unique". Unique means singular, one of a kind, unlike any other.

My own hang-up is people who misuse the word "less", as in "less people came to the picnic this year than last year", when it should be properly phrased, "fewer people came to the picnic this year than last year."
