Hrothgar's Comments

"Turtles with serious respiratory infections, often those resulting from vitamin A deficiencies, might tilt to the side when swimming, which could cause them to flip over. A lack of vitamin A changes a turtle's mucous membranes in his eyes, mouth and respiratory tract. Early signs of an infection include lack of appetite, nasal discharge, eyelid swelling and discharge, ear swelling and bubbling in the mouth. By the time the turtle starts tilting or flipping, the infection has gone into his lungs. He can no longer stay buoyant in the water. Take your pet to the vet as soon as he exhibits abnormal symptoms or behavior."

Please cite where Shakespeare wrote the above quote.
I do recall a piece by Henry Van Dyke (1852-1933), which goes:
“Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.”

Kind of weighted towards more recent movies (post 2001), but a pretty good list. One quibble though: Why in heck lump both versions of The Fly together? I read their rationale, but still think the second version just went for the gross out. Thankfully they did not do the same for The Wicker Man.

Sorry to disappoint you Exuperist. Many of those railroads are extinct, and their logos are only found on antique locomotives and rolling stock on display somewhere. There are about 700 railroads in the US and most of them are short lines. The one nearest me, the St. Maries River Railroad, operates on just over 70 miles of track. I'm a westerner, and am only familiar with some of the railroads crossing the Rocky Mountains. For example: In 1970 the Great Northern; Northern Pacific, Chicago Burlington and Quincy, and the Spokane Portland and Seattle railways merged to form the Burlington Northern Railroad. The BN operated until 1996, when it merged with the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway to form the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway. Missouri Pacific was absorbed into the Union Pacific in 1982. UP took over Western Pacific in 1982, and the Denver & Rio Grande Western in 1988.Salt Lake Route (real name San Pedro Los Angeles and Salt Lake RR) Existed only on paper after UP bought it in 1921. It officially died in 1988. And the Nevada Northern was basically an ore train operating on less than 200 miles of track. When the mines and smelters closed,in the early 1980s, most of it became a museum.https://www.nnry.com/

Of corpse--er--course, there was the long standing question of preference: Addams Family or Munsters? I have always preferred the Addamses. When I was about 10 and the show was on the air, I managed to make my own Thing out of one of my mom's rubber dish washing gloves and a cigar box from my dad. Thing and I used to watch the show together.
