Sure . Why not? Los Angeles has already siphoned off power from most of the western states. There is a nuclear plant in Palo Verde, Arizona who serves LA. The Intermountain Power Plant In Delta, UT is operated by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (as if LA owns Utah as a colony). Utah coal is strip mined and burned --all for LA's benefit. This salt dome plan is B.S. There will not be all that much "compressed air" to take up the slack for idle wind turbines. They are opening up reservoirs in the dome for the planned conversion of the IPP to gas, when the coal runs out. Just another case of the western states getting Californicated.

This article states Ogden is the oldest town in Utah and gives a date of 1851. Ogden was the first white settlement in Utah. Miles Goodyear built a tiny cabin and a trading fort (Fort Buenaventura) in 1845. There were probably a dozen still inhabited towns in Utah founded before 1851, including Salt Lake City, founded in 1947.

Not surprised at all. It was going to be held at Watkins Glen Raceway (at least 150 miles from Max Yasgur's farm). Then the organizer kept moving the venue. About a half a dozen of the original performers said they would participate. And the tickets were going to be expensive. Lowest estimate I saw was $500 for the three day pass. My three day pass in 1969 cost $18 (about $120 in today's money). The constant shifting made it impossible for travel and lodging arrangements. Most of us scrapped our VW minibuses years ago. It was lousy planning from the get-go. I wonder how much Michael Lang pocketed from this fiasco.

Sorry, the first three considerations depend heavily on having enough money. Not enough money? You won't have much choice in what you do. You can't afford a vacation? You don't get one. Cannot afford a nice place to retire to? You won't be moving anywhere. Healthcare? Many people have a choice: healthcare or housing and food. Of course, the article came from Forbes--a magazine aimed at the wealthiest people in society. MY retirement plan? A fatal coronary on my last day at work.

I think the simplest answer is the most likely. On old radio dramas, you could not see the actors. The female characters used high voices in a rather stereotypical fashion. I think it reflected cultural norms, not necesessarily biomedical causes. In movies, and later TV, the need to differentiate a gender by voice did not happen as much. Lauren Bacall had a voice equal to or lower than many of her male costars. Suzanne Pleshette also had a fairly deep voice. Watch an episode of the Bob Newhart show. Her voice was deeper than Bob's.

I'm old-ish. When Apollo 11 landed on the moon, I was 14. I grew up with Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo and remember how it felt to watch those steps into space. They were heady days for lots of folks. However, that excitement really didn't last. Part of the reason, in my opinion, for the end of interest in lunar landings and the associated manned space flights was a feeling of "Been there, Done that."How do you top a moon landing? Skylab? It was not exciting. The post Apollo years seemed ad-libed. We got some rockets--what do we do with them? The focus was gone. Also, people had a hard time seeing what they were getting for their money. I recall hearing plenty of people thinking NASA was a big money pit, sucking back tax dollars that could be used to fight poverty. Perhaps if NASA R&D was sold as economic investment in future technology which would pay benefits for consumers, the space program would have been easier to justify. In the end, I think things fell apart because there were no truly long term plans. Man in space soonest burned itself out.
