I used to work for a housing developer with similar restrictions against clotheslines. The purchasers are made to sign a separate contract containing various clauses--so really, caveat emptor, right?
As for the environment, just buy a clothes rack that you can bring inside when you're done. It's what I did, and works just fine.

Knee-jerk reaction or not, I can vouch to the fact that not a single major philosophy department in Europe or North America studies the 'work' of Ayn Rand, which tends to attract socially maladjusted, narcissistic type-A personalities stuck in perpetual adolescence.
Which, of course, says nothing at all about the relative merits of libertarianism as a political philosophy, to which one can be sympathetic to (as I am) while still dismissing Rand as histrionic nonsense.

Ever considered you were fired for creating a hostile work environment? Chances are one or more of your co-workers were gay and your constant harping on the alleged 'immorality' of the lifestyle made them uncomfortable.
I think personal politics should be left at home. Your place of work is not an appropriate venue for such things. At all.
