I'm not in the USA, and I feel that there are a lot more left of center -favoured posts here than right of center posts. The lefty ones are more condescending and mocking than the righty ones.

That's just my observation. I really get bored quickly with the whole left/right thing. Both sides need to get a life.

He and his parents aren't paying for his room and board at the university. They're paying for his tuition, unless it's all just in student loans at the moment. To live in residence costs a lot extra. While he has use of the athletic facilities to shower, the showers are meant for people using the gym, etc... And he seems to be exercising in the library for some strange reason.

Real homeless people don't have options like this. Labelling his antics as homelessness is a slap in the face to people who are actually suffering.

@Fae: Hunting's not so much about the food as it is about the activity. They're not taking pictures of themselves holding up their bear burgers and venison beside the barbecue.

They're showing off their prey, saying, "See this dead animal? I killed it."

I'm not against hunting myself. It's just definitely not for me.

Interesting point of view. The article seems to ignore the fact that grown men were doing the same jobs, suffering through the same dangerous and "mind-numbing" work. Was it okay for men to work those same harsh conditions?

Also, you could only use this as a precautionary example for the boys in your class. You'd have to come up with something else to scare the girls.

If you choose to vacuum in the nude, you can do so. If you do it with the curtains wide open, it's illegal.

If you sunbathe in the nude behind your tall fence, but all your neighbours can see you from their upper windows, it's not their fault you're that foolish.

If you pee in your garden, and a blurry picture ends up on the internet, it's not the fault of the picture-taker who can't possibly screen every blurry picture for every possible thing. Yes, if it's that intrusive, they could probably blur him out even more. Are they obligated to? Is he entitled to some sort of monetary compensation for pain and suffering? No.

Should they go around the world taking pictures of everything readily visible from the street? That's a different question entirely. But if you're concerned that what you're doing could possibly be caught on film, maybe you should think twice about doing it where you're doing it.
