Certainly she is right. These parents are unable to control their children because they don't really want to be anything but the child's friend. The rest of us suffer. In restaurants, stores, and planes, my children bother no one because we taught them to respect others and themselves. No threats necessary on my part.

AS for the brats that infest our lives, I never hesitate to confront the parents, or complain to the manager (or whoever is supposedly in charge). Hand out vouchers to some miserable loser of a parent? No way! Give vouchers to the rest of us for the abuse we suffered.

Why not? Top level Wall Street executives and their families all got the swine flu shots, so why not Santas?

I knew it! When I was in college and worked at a department store, we called Black Friday "black" because it was a miserable day filled with greedy miserable rude people. Everyone insists that it is called black because of the profits.

Nevertheless, Black Friday has become a disgusting pseudo-holiday, where the stupidity and greed combine to trample people, spend money that one does not have, and to spit in the face of human decency.

What's endangering them? What else? People eating them and habitat destruction.

Regarding USofA airlines, I cannot imagine how my expectations could be any lower.

Airlines are subject to questions like this because they provide very bad customer service, and mistreat their customers. It is not whining to complain when treated poorly. I expect more for my money than being treated like a diseased refugee.

United. I've flown the state planes of Third World nations, and was happier in those death traps than flying with that unearthly abomination United. Rude service, no service, delays, filth, noise, and stenches. Then there was the time we were all waiting to board, late at night, and all the United staff simply walked away. The flight was cancelled, but no one told us anything.

I hate United profoundly.
