I read on a local (and more reliable) news source that the $1 million dollar price tag comes from the fact that the computers were set to run the SETI software anytime they were idle causing wear and tear and increased electricity bills. When you take hudreds of computers over the course of several years, that's a lot of money spent on electricity and replaced computers that wore out before their expected life cycle.
Out of genuine curiosity- do the same people who freak out about people having babies because they are killing the earth by overpopulating it and using all its resources also not want a cure for diseases like AIDS, cancer, etc?
Facebook feeds run with the most recent events at the top. Who put all the time into something this stupid and totally screwed THAT aspect up? A person can't post "I will have you shot" and all that if they are dead. The person who created this failed on so many levels.
All those stats come from the company itself which makes me think that they aren't entirely truthful. Coke gets these "stats" out there to make everyone believe that they are so hugely successful that they must be the best. It's not information and stats- it's marketing.
!elbakrameR® -111 internets for trying waaaay too hard to find a way to bring the Bush administration into something that has absolutely nothing at all whatsoever with politics...and failing to to it well
Robin, thanks for playing the internets today, but I am sorry (actually quite pleased) to inform you that you are wrong. Jesus never said that. In fact, one of his parables has a master getting angry at a servant for not investing his money wisely to get interest on his allowance. The Council of Nicea outlawed usury.
That picture of the nasty foot. What is the connection? "This is what your foot will look like if you drop a cig on it and let it burn for a while" or "the surgeon general warns against using your toes to hold cigarettes"?

Maybe not where you're from.
