WOW, wow, what a blatantly ignorant quote. I assume this is taken WILDLY out of context wherein for a very slim and properly defined meaning of "security" it would be appropriate. One, the herd mentality of zebras and water buffalo protecting each other (versus the ones singled out which become lunch) is security in nature. Two, apes and monkeys that are healty and social are safer; loners are not.

The notion that a "safe" life cannot be a full or adventurous life is ridiculous and just plain wrong.

Lame nonsense, Kristin Elder. Having a dog is four times more effective than having a home security system. And that is more effective than not having one.

This is asinine. If they needed pictures they should've taken a silent GLIDER across the area, with the bottom painted blue. That or freaking google maps the area.

The place should be a no fly zone.

"Does this indicate nascent morality?"

Um. Wot? Doesn't it just mean that they're social animals that are used to living in groups and instinctually avoid doing things that harm the group?

Way to project and anthropomorphize, science! Gotta keep those funding grants rolling in.

The cameras are as much pieces of art as his photographs. Pretty amazing.

And sure, it's simple as pie to make a pinhole camera. There's a biiiiiiig range of steps between those and the latest and greatest digital camera, and this guy found a great DIY niche.

JMM hit it on the head in the first post.

The POINT of the saying is to be actively charitable and good natured, and indescribably generous and loving and peaceable. You guys are just twisting semantics (Jason with his molesting of Jessica Alba) is interesting from a logic point of view, but really pretty silly from the obvious intent of the message.

Naw, there was a study a few years ago, I'm sure, about how ASYMMETRICAL faces were handsome. On men anyway - maybe it doesn't work for women. The article featured, oh what's his name. Man, it was some musician who looked kind of like Kramer with blonder hair. Anyway, super asymmetrical face.

What it came down to was those people had character, were distinguished, unique.

I think it's just being one extreme or another. Either being perfectly symmetrical, or really uniquely asymmetrical. I mean look at Clint Eastwood's sneer! Very asymmetrical, but girls love the guy.

And the genes thing is already on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facial_symmetry
"Animal studies show that diseased mothers give birth to offspring that show greater asymmetries."

"I see people doing this all the time in my town and they drive worse than people on their cell phones. You can’t control a vehicle with an animal in your lap."

Whoah whoah, don't be hasty. Let's not say anything to make people who talk on cell phones while driving look GOOD.

Can't we just say they're ALL ridiculously dangerous and foolish?
