This story isn't true, and several law enforcement agencies have weighed in on it already. Sorry, but there is no "free zone" that isn't covered by state and/or federal law in the United States.

Oh the Irony: "The family of a man whose body landed on a freeway sign during a car crash says they performed a lamb sacrifice for him days earlier for protection from harm."

The family performed a "matagh", or offering, on Oct. 25. Matagh is a tradition of the Armenian Church and often used to show appreciation to God for saving a life, asking for good health or for peace for deceased loved ones. Pananian’s family hoped the offering of the lamb would provide some protection, his cousin said.

Guess that magical voodoo stuff doesn't actually work. I'm so shocked. The magical incantations and the murder of a goat couldn't protect him from not wearing his seatbelt while driving like a maniac (he was reportedly driving fast and swerving around quite a bit).

The worst part? He was headed to his new job at the Glendale Collision Center. Ouch.

> Should I be worried about his vehicular activities?

Absolutely. As a medical professional* I would prescribe a covered garage with a weather-tight door.

* not really but I know a doctor that has a garage and he likes it a lot

Seriously, these get worse every time. I live in Seattle and my neighbor washes his car all the time, cloudy or not, rain predicted or not. Sometimes he even washes it *IN* the rain, because the heavy downpour ends up rinsing the soap off in just a few minutes.

Ridiculous. It is actually very easy to hold a gun in your left hand while wearing a seatbelt in the driver's seat, such that you can indeed shoot yourself in the head.

Try holding your hand that way the next time you're in your car and you'll see it's not difficult at all. You can actually be flush against a wall and *still* hold a gun in a position to shoot yourself in the temple on that side.

The circumstantial nonsense about the "dent in the door" being a "result of a fight" is pure, unsubstantiated rubbish.

It's what attorneys call "baseless speculation", and you could just as well conclude that Martians teleported in and killed him, then teleported out. It's every bit as supported by the 'evidence' as the "fight theory", which is to say non-existent.

As far as the bit about "the car hadn't been driven in weeks", any decent lawyer would tear this to shreds. There could be 100 reasons why the dent was only being fixed now. Maybe it was just noticed. Maybe it happened when Irving was moving the car. Maybe vandals did it the day before. Maybe Irving was waiting for the proper paint to arrive. Seriously, there could be any number of reasons for this.

Sorry, but these "mysteries" by Hy Conrad just get worse with each passing day. :(

This has got to be the WORST, most LAMEST "whodunit" I've ever read. Maybe Madam Rollo strangled him with her hair ties or blouse strings or belt or one of a THOUSAND other possibilities. Nothing in this story rules out ANY of the players. ANY of them could have done it.

This "whodunit" is a pathetic joke. Hy Conrad, are you even trying anymore ? I could come up with something better than this in 10 minutes.

Leslie spent his life making people laugh, and the world is a poorer place for his passing. So long, Leslie, and thank you for all the joy and smiles you brought to so many people!

Anthony Coletti wrote, "I am amazed how much people are trying to rationalize cheating."

I couldn't agree more. It's actually kind of amazing (and sad) to me to see so many people coming up with reason after reason as to why this cheating is "okay".

So, to all the rationalizers who see nothing wrong with this, let me pose a couple of questions...

1) If *YOU* were the teacher here and found your students had done this, would you be okay with it? Really? You'd have no problem with someone passing your test who learned the test answers, but not necessarily the material? If so, then you must be okay with being known as a teacher who turns out students who will likely perform poorly in the real world.

2) As I wrote earlier, lets say you were going to have a heart transplant or some other surgical procedure. Would you want your surgeon to have gotten a good grade on his test because he studied the material and understood it, or because he got his hands in the test bank questions? Would it be okay if that person treated your mother or daughter? How about the paramedic who responds to your 911 call with you as a heart attack victim? Is it okay if he passed the First Responder test by getting his hands on the test bank questions?

Maybe you'd like to be a passenger on a plane built by people who "passed the test", but who never actually learned the engineering that's required to build a safe airplane?

Do you see why some of us are upset with this? The purpose of a test isn't to see if you know the answers. The purpose of a test is to see if you know the *material*.

It's incredible how many of you don't get this concept and instead choose to condone this kind of cheating. Incredible, and very, very sad.

Let's stop getting all philosophical about this- it's cheating. Slice and dice all you want, but it's cheating.

Let me put it another way...would you want your heart surgeon to have gotten a good grade on his test because he studied the material and understood it, or because he got his hands in the test bank questions?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

It's cheating. Frankly I'm amazed that anyone could think that it's not.

Nice try, but you can't outsource your actual education. Would you be okay if your doctor had "outsourced" his medical education? No, I thought not.

It's not, "cheeky initiative". It's cheating.

Dave wrote, "Why is the miraculous so hard for some to believe?"

Because it's utter bullsh*t, that's why. Stop believing in every bit of ridiculous nonsense and use your brain. Seriously, Dave, what's more likely: That an actual "angel" manifested in a some random hospital and was magically caught on camera, or that it's just a common reflection?

This is just as stupid as seeing the Virgin Mary in your toast or on the back of a road sign. Get real, people. If you truly believe in this kind of nonsense then you shouldn't be allowed to vote, own a handgun, or drive a car on public roads.

My wife (who is from Cambodia) eats the "Duck Fetus Egg" all the time. It's usually called "egg bluten", and it's every bit as horrifying as it looks, lol. Whenever my wife gets one out of the refrigerator she always offers it to me laughingly- because she KNOWS I won't eat it. I always sing out, "All for youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" lol

One other comment on the Durian fruit. It is delicious, almost like cocaine in fruit form. It really is good, damn near addictive. The smell can vary from "not so bad" to "OMG I'm going to puke", but it's so good that you won't care about the smell. Most of the hotels in Cambodia and Vietnam have signs in the lobby and near the elevators prohibiting you from bringing Durian fruit up to your room. (We would sneak it in anyway.) Here in the US, we sometimes freeze it and eat it while frozen- it's very delicious that way. See the spiky things on the skin? They're hard, sharp, and dangerous...if one of these babies fell onto your head it would be all over for you. No joke.
