I had thought that there was not supposed to be a period after Ms (unless it was at the end of a sentence), Miss is never abbreviated. Mrs. is the abbreviation of Mistress. Mr. is the abbreviation of Mister. Ms is not an abbreviation of anything so no period is necessary.

Tomatoes, apples, watermelon, green peppers, head lettuce. All of them have lost their taste since I was a boy. I used to like vegetables and fruit. Thank God no one has destroyed onions, celery and broccoli.

Oh, I get it now! The white stripes on the dark pavement kind of look like a zebra. Must be a Russian thing, or do other people call that sort of pedestrian crossing a Zebra Crossing?

Even if you buy the assumptions in the article, Tiger Woods makes that much in three months. If you prefer to ignore endorsements, Floyd Mayweather Jr. makes that in four months. Over his lifetime, Woods will out-earn Diocles by a factor of 10.

This is just the latest episode in the investigation of how learned concepts and algorithms affect our thinking and how our mind interprets that which we learn.

The reason that it is important for children to learn a non-native language, math, categorical sciences, music and other such subjects is to not only teach them the subject, but to allow them to figure out that there are many ways to examine the world without and within.

What idiotic, ivory-tower, numb-skulled researcher would think that the ROW would react to money the same way as people in the United States? Just in case somebody out there doesn't know this already: We have more money than good uses for it and therefore have really strange feelings about it.
