Some funding by fundraising, some researchfunds from the company itself and that for the rest of her life because she is the Ultimate testbench for those legs.
She'll be the ultimate expert on these things with both her legs and her arms. And no it won't be only every 2 years- She'll have to revisit the labs sometimes every week because there'll be tweaking and adjusting and testing if it all works properly needed and she'll feel things and she'll have remarks and suggestions and more improvements needed and she'll need therapy and help for her stumps and for the effects of the enclosures of the stumpcups and so on. And then some times there will be tch's who want to try out new stuff on her because she is young and she can adjust fast enough and she has lots of experience.
@ Miss Cellania- You have to give Alaex Ulaanbaatar some slack- If he was there during a real snowstorm, his view of that town was about one building large, the way to and from it from the airport and nothing more. So still pretty small. :-P
Mesmerizing is the word...! Beautyful indeed. I'd like to know how he works- He seems to use some kind of CAD? 'Cause if he actually does this all just by hand, with paint and without computer-aid, I'd Really have respect...!
And I like some of his titles for which I cannot even find the symbols on my keyboard ;-)
I'm sure that in most overregulated Western countries this gadget will be considered highly illegal - ney, dare I say CRIMINAL!, just like graffity.
Cute idea! Bit like the trails that ants make vor eachother to food. The more ants go some trail, the stronger the tracks become, the more urgent more ants will follow it. Nice!
I remember the smell of of that machine... Yeah well, I must be a dinosaur too, because I can remember that at my dad's office they had one of those (I dunno if it was this type or some other, but similar) and you could copy YOUR HAND!!! While even 8-9 years later in my school we used an old mechanical hand-cranked stencil-machine with crumbly courier-type font to crank out large-volume texts.
This always fascinates me when I see such pictures: "Hubble’s image suggests the galaxies may not be close enough together to interact as they appear to be" ...So this picture is a question of visual alignment that groups these galaxies while in fact they could even be far far away from eachother...? That is awesome.
Nice to see how big (or small) this spider is- My main problem with these nature documentaries is that they more than often show us the most wonderful animals without scale or size-reference. And so you see ants and spiders in close-up with as endresult that I wake up middle of the night screaming because I dream of car-size ants and spiders...
:?:

The's one person who already has a job for life.
@Lostfiniel - Is Perpignan the smallest foreign town you ever visited...? Wow! Still seemed kind of big to me.
 ...Complicated. Then your biological father could be something like your great great great great grandfather?
Name: Cosmo Johnson
Date of birth: 2452
Father: Abe Johnson - Birthdate: 1972
Mother: Becky Green - Birthdat: 2431
:-? Confusing dates.....

You should see the pictures of the build...!
SIX years...!!! Something like that even with help would take me my lifetime - IF- I would have the stomac to finish this mega-project at all...
Awesome. Truly Awesome.
So....
...perhaps... Dare I say it...?
Inséminate, Inséminate, Inséminate!!!!
...Or something like that...? ...With a cautious ;-)
