I thought the point of it was to mess with people's perception, and give the viewers some mental stimulation (of the 'wtf' variety). Its a neat little demonstration of that universal concept - all perception is flawed, no matter how confidently you believe what you experienced.
This is a horrible idea. If a person doesn't understand that killing something has consequences, the deletion of files while playing a video game isn't going to make them understand.

I was going to say what Alexx said. The base word in tetris is 'tetra' as in 4. 4 adjacent squares make up every tetris piece (in each possible combination). These pieces seem to use a few made of 5 joined squares.
