@ Polx - Regarding Mary and the Landis supermarket. The actual store where Mary is filmed is an ASDA (Wal-Mart). But is was called Landis for the same reason that there is a Fulci's restaurant. They are "nods" to horror movie directors and their respective films. Pegg and Frost did admit to this.

There is also dialogue from classic zombie films.
The scene where Ed tells Shaun's mom "We're coming to get you, Barbara." And the TV news report are both taken from NOTLD.

Pegg and Frost appear as zombies in George Romero's Land of the Dead. Kind of a reverse easter egg. :)

Me again. Perhaps the guy tested it a few times before the actual filming. Kind of like how you would try a new recipe for cake a few times, before brining the perfected cake to a potluck. You do not want everyone to know your failures.
we only see this film. We have not seen that maybe there were trial runs.

YES!! I had lost this link. I recall spending many hours at work playing with this and "Falling Sand" when I should have been working.
Thanks :)

I had learned that sugar does not go bad because it inhibits mold or yeast growth.
Same with honey.
Vegemite goes bad?
And I agree about the bleu cheese. That just gets better.

AWESOME!!! I love those posters. Growing up in the PI, there was also these grand enormous hand painted movie posters. The style was similar. I had always wanted to have my own poster.
this would make an excellent upcoming wedding anniversary gift! :)

Naming your child Pol Pot would probably go unnoticed until you asked for it on to be put on the birthday cake.
Then again, I do not think it would be as quickly recognized as the name Adolph Hitler.

Took the black one into a photo thingy and adjusted values. Maybe I didn't eat enough carrots as a child?

But had no prob with the others.

Heh - I am surprised he got his accordion through airport security. I have to take mine out and play everytime I go through security.
The internal mechanisms must fit some sort of profile on the x-ray machine to make the TSA agents want a better look.
An accordion makes any dull place more fun. :)

Wow Bob, that was as productive of a post as the parents in the article.

"Neither parent works because of illness - his ..wife has been unable to work ...because of back problems, she says."
Probaly strained her back playing to much tennis on the wii.

I am maybe guessing that the depratment of labor has checked their claims since the first time they were in the news, and there was a new wii in the background of the some of the images.

"And he says he may one day move his family to Germany, where he believes the kids' names would be considered "more normal"."
Haha. Yeah good luck with that.
Sadly we are stuck with them. Germany's immigration policies are strict. They do not like slackers.
