@ Arrrrr - If you are getting tired of tacky things - maybe you should create an interesting Neatorama post, over in the Upcoming Queue? http://www.neatorama.com/upcoming/
Just came from a party where that was the centerpiece. Although the indiviual went the extra mile and made little flags around the top of the stadium from little bits of bacon. The field posts were the first to go.
"Pay attention to the details, proofread and spell check before posting. People will be reading what you write." Zav had posted. After hitting the submit tab, they had noticed that they did indeed misspell Gauldar's name.
"now if only we could get this going in the states. Discounts are understandable but free?" BartC3
The gas station down the way, has free donuts for law officers after 4pm. That is if there are any left though. It is also kind of a trade off. The gas station is in a rural area, and the three different law agencies in the area often use the station as a place to do their "homework". It also keeps the station from being robbed. Locals who patronize the station are also familiar with the officers and there is a sense of "family".
@ DOJ - Depends on what type of outbreak you have. If it is a "rage" outbreak, then you had better put your track shoes on. If it just your standard "reports indicate that the previously dead are coming back to life." then you can probably keep ahead of them. As for me - I'll just get into makeup and blend in.
Maybe I should submit a post to the Queue about people that over-react.
"Imagine websites like Etsy, where people can make a crap-load of money for their overpriced homemade items. " - Non
There is a site similar to that called Kiva. http://www.kiva.org/ Except that you yourself can donate money to that individual so they can start a business.
Years ago I think Betty Crocker used to have a special set of cake pans, which allowed you to make a checkered cake or a rainbow cake.
My background is in food sciences. To answer the poo question: No. Not a rainbow. But if you were to eat the whole cake, your poo may be an odd teal green color. It has to do with how your stomach and bowels process the food and dye. I am sort of happy that I did not miss that week of class. For many years later I am able to answer a question about poo on an internet blog.

Those are adorable. The transistor owl reminded me of "bot" I had made from an old fashioned alarm clock.
