Don't be too hard on JohnnyCat, Spooky. Sometimes it's hard to tell that a post is plagiarized and track down the original. I'm sure that it was unintentional.
Just a side note about science reporting: I initially used an AFP article for this post, but wasn't pleased with its depth. So I looked for a meatier alternative in Science Daily. And what it said about the bornavirus discovery was substantially different from the AFP article.
I would guess that the Science Daily article was written by people with greater expertise, but in any event, it was a demonstration of how it pays to be skeptical of science journalism.
