I don't really see how something that could be destroyed by a sneeze is going to help Martian exploration, but perhaps I'm just not thinking outside the box.
I'm not sure I would have volunteered my fingers to be that close to it's jaws (they are pretty tiny though). Another minute or two and it probably could have pinned the tomato in a corner.
Now that's screwy. People still make vehicles like this. Many of them have been proposed for cross arctic expeditions because the ice screws with their large surface area can double as pontoons when the ice thins and a water crossing is inevitable.

I can't say I've ever met anyone who habitually watered plants after nightfall. It seems like a very small niche market.
