It's an interesting story. I prefer to divorce Thanksgiving from the various Colonizer Favors and instead tying it to Lincolns original thanksgiving for prosperity even in the midst of troubles.
I think Indigenous falls into that Overinclusive Category that the video talks about. I've heard First Peoples as the Canadian term for Indigenous populations. Eskimo is not an appropriate term as they prefer either Inuit, Yupik or Inupiat. Eskimo is an Algonquin word that some have interpreted as "eater of raw meat" but that is debatable.
With Google opening Checking services and Facebook making Paypal it feels like they are trying to become the all encompassing dystopian mega corps of science fiction. I guess we wanted to live in the future but instead of getting flying cars we got the other stuff.
People may say it's terrible to lose your miles but those programs are really at the discretion of the airline industry and they can get rid of them in an instant with no recourse for you the flier. Also probably a bad idea to fake your cats weight for a flight.
I always wonder about the kids who were all really young when they graduated college back in the 80s and 90s (The Dougie Houser Inpirations). Where are they now? What did they do after that? It's a novelty for sure to have someone graduate so early but how does that impact the rest of their lives?
I've been there it's a very interesting place. Interestingly enough it's not the only cave home in the area. There is a huge 10K+ Mansion built into a huge rock to the west of it. Of course you can't go see that with out the owners trying to shoot at you but it is neat none the less. I like Hole N" The Rocks Petting Zoo too.
