This is super sad. :( My family is from Finland, so I was raised with pickled fish and the Lutheran church. It's not something I've ever prepared myself though so I can kind of see how this happened... :(

Eeeeeh... these poor people. Being in the airport for the hour it takes to check in is terrible. I can't imagine staying there for 18 years...

I wish our prison sentences were based on what's effective, because the recidivism rate in the U.S. is ridiculous. I've had friends go to prison, and they ended up both the hating the system more than before, and tried new drugs...

This was me as a child. My parents turned around for a moment at the hospital once when I was a child visiting a family member, and I had ran straight into the room with an entrance covered in bright colored signs stating I should've worn gloves and a mask. I was fine. The patient was happy to have company for a moment.

This is super awesome, and the birds are the best part of it. :)
