This is super sad. :( My family is from Finland, so I was raised with pickled fish and the Lutheran church. It's not something I've ever prepared myself though so I can kind of see how this happened... :(
This sounds like a perfectly terrifying adventure, and history is full of them. And now I have to read more to learn about how they handled the lack of water.
This is absolutely amazing, and I am going to show my Aunt, who will hopefully make me one of these monstrosities. I feel like it's something she could get into. :)
I wish our prison sentences were based on what's effective, because the recidivism rate in the U.S. is ridiculous. I've had friends go to prison, and they ended up both the hating the system more than before, and tried new drugs...
This was me as a child. My parents turned around for a moment at the hospital once when I was a child visiting a family member, and I had ran straight into the room with an entrance covered in bright colored signs stating I should've worn gloves and a mask. I was fine. The patient was happy to have company for a moment.
