Sadly, it doesn't take that much effort to set up armies of bots to create fake reviews and recommendations. Any talented hacker can create a platoon of sock puppets to further his (or her) products, causes, etc. The real challenge is to tell the humans from the phonies.

Any of those could do well in a gingerbread contest - maybe even win!
