Yes, it has gone too far. Sensors to improve safety is one thing, but gathering data for advertising is too much. I can ignore adds that pop up, but what other data is being collected, is it being stored, who has access, and how will they use it against me? Could a dishonest person extort money from me by saying they are going to turn over info to an employer Unless they are paid? Reminds me of a Black Mirror episode.

Yes, this guy has been doing it for awhile now. I guess it's his way of not going insane or doing something that he feels he can do to help fight the crisis we are in, like everyone who was making masks for free, or providing the pattern to make your own? But then you are just putting yourself at risk, and possibly getting it from someone else and passing it on. I think that Neatorama had a post in the past about students not passing the science standardized tests because of the way that the subject was being taught. I think the crisis is showing that the article had good and valid point.
