i was in the Long John Silvers drive thru... on the window, there was a sticker that said that they had time lock safe blah blah blah blah and they MIGHT have closed circuit security cams. i'm not sure how much of a deterrent MIGHT is, but if they were springing for the stickers they could have at least bought a fake plastic security camera to hang in the corner...

Mad Max wasn't made in the US.. as were a lot of the movies on the list... does that mean that they don't count either?? even if you add in what it would have cost in US$ to make mariachi, it still wouldn't have gone over 1 million. i'm certainly sure that many of these movies were made in the 'traditional way'. i would even say that Aguirre would be most suspect. regardless of 'how' the movie was made, the cost still didn't add up.

i just remembered the time that i went to see the Lion King... there was a little kid sitting behind me. at the right moment he said aloud, "This is when simba's dad dies." that made me laugh and probably drew me out of any emotional connection i had at the moment. or not, since i only saw it the one time and have never really cared to see it again...

My Girl always got me. also the ending of the movie Tae Guk Gi... i don't think im good at watching people cry over graves... and i just saw the movie Bridge to Teribithia... ouch.. i'm a crybaby... however, Ghost had no impact on me. actually, none of those listed had any effect. maybe i just have a different 'cry trigger'...

its what you are familiar with... i have a friend that is deaf. i had his girlfriend ask him(sign) if he had dreams of people talking to him or signing to him... i suppose you can guess what his answer is. which is obvious. how many times have you had a dream where someone was talking to you in a language you didnt know? and i don't mean gibberish that you 'just knew' was a certain language...

i kinda liked touristas... but i wouldnt compare it to something like hostel. the use of violence wasnt used in the same way even though there was a bit of gore... that underwater chase where they are breathing bubbles off the cave walls was kinda neat too..
