@Rumson

There has been NO known transference (or infection) of Mycobacterium leprae from touching a armadillo (dead or alive).

There are a few VERY rare cases of infection from eating under-cooked armadillo meat.

So as long as you're not looking for a quick armadillo sushi snack, you have NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

Besides which, Hansen's Disease (Leprosy) was first treatable in the 40's and treatment was perfected using a 3-drug cocktail in the 70's.

It's not the fact that she's trying to enforce good nutrition, it's the fact that she's forcing family's to cough up whatever the lunch costs - with no other options.

You might be able to make laws telling the schools what type of school lunch they can serve, but you can't make families that have to send their kids to public school eat that or nothing.

What hubris.

As long as we can safely warn people for the next 100 or so years (which we can, since we currently understand pretty much all the languages of the 1900's) we're good. After that - it's up to that current era to decide how best to pass forward that info (since they will know far better then us, how to do so).
