I think it was a lot less simplistic than you've made it seem. It isn't about how bad the main characters job is, it's about consumerism and manufacturing. Have you ever considered that everything you own was made by another human being, possibly being exploited or maltreated like those in the short?

I don't know. I'm vegetarian, my partner isn't. We eat together easily. I make pasta, salad, soup, or quesadillas and the meat only goes in his. It's simple. I make healthily meals for both of us, if he wants meat, he puts meat in his. I'm not sure why most people think it's so complicated. That, and, most of the time, he can't taste the difference between soy meats and real meats in things like soups.
I prefer slowly mostly because I like to keep the hair attached. Ripping it fast might cause less pain by pulling on the skin/hair less, but I'm missing a random patch of arm/leg hair in the end.
