Honestly, MS Paint is still easier to use than the "Paint 3D" but neither one really handle anything beyond the most basic of tasks. It doesn't look like this is so much of an upgrade as a cosmetic makeover.

The price is the problem for me. Losing a day to get from point A to point B is mildly annoying. On top of that you'll be paying 3x the money for something that takes 3x longer. Add it together and it still makes flying worth the hassle most of the time.

That's a lifetime of gaming, but some of those games don't last quite so long. Many of the NES era games are beatable in 20-30 minutes if you're good at them.

That said, some of the best games are worth playing more than once.Others have multiple endings that require you to play through them more than once to see them, etc...

Quite a few things. The worst part for me is that there is no "page" to visit so you can't figure out where you left off. You MUST go through the whole site to try to find out where you were. You can't just skip to individual pages nor can you skip 5 or 10 pages at a time.

> It wastes bandwidth by repeatedly loading/unloading portions of the site. This is especially a problem for people on limited bandwidth plans.
> It can be an accessibility problem for people who use screen readers.
> You never know where the end of the page is.or how many pages are available.
> It loads more of the website when you get to the bottom, whether you want it or not.
> It breaks the "back" button.
> It increases memory usage on a device. This is especially problematic for image heavy sites. Some sites compensate by unloading images that were already scrolled past, but it wastes more bandwidth loading images that were already downloaded if the page is scrolled upward.
> It breaks the scroll bar as an indicator of page position.
> Site performance degrades as you scroll, especially on less capable mobile devices which are becoming more common.
> It breaks bookmarks. Sure, you can bookmark individual items, but you can never get back to where you were to try to get further "down" into a site.
> Once the site is large enough, items further down are essentially "lost" as users lose the patience to scroll through and wait for the entire site to load.

If you're trying to sell things on the site, this compounds the problem of discoverability.
Some people love it. It makes scrolling on the phone "easier" but comes at a steep cost in actual usability for a site. I actively avoid sites that have infinite scrolling or auto-load new pages when I reach the bottom of a page.

Why spend billions to build walls that will be destroyed in a decade or two? It is a lost cause. We would be better off moving inland and preparing for the rise in sea level now.

All this will do is set up an even bigger disaster when it does fail, and it will eventually fail.

Quite true. It's a tough balance. If you make the map absolutely massive it takes ages to get from one place to another. If you pack the map full of stuff to do and find along the way, you can make it much smaller without making it feel small.
