I know this topics been dead for awhile, but I felt the need to comment the last two comments.
First of all: Jeremy, if you invented freestyle walking sorry, but I laugh at you. It's like Parkour For Dummies. Free running (similar to parkour but with different ideas to it and includes tricking sums it up really) Is closer to parkour then fs walking. lol lol Parkour doesn't have an emphasis on style, people bring their own styles and ideas into it and it grows, creating new things constantly.
Secondly, Iamnivek. CSI, not really a fan of the show myself, but I did see the episode with the traceurs. (Someone who does parkour)They may have looked less geeky and more cool, but these guys you're seeing. (Most of these videos are focused on David Belle who is known as the father of parkour.) He can definately own any traceur you'll ever see. The "Run Escape Jump" video was a scene from the movie Banlieue 13.(District 13)
David Belle didn't start parkour, it's ideology dates prehistory, David, his brother, cousin and friends and everything adapted the idea of it and put it into a city. Giving it the name Parkour (which is derived from the word parcours which bascailly means a course or path)Want more info feel free to send an email. Happy to answer any "sensible" questions.
