My wife and I popped into the American Girl doll store. I was creeped out beyond belief. I simply cannot fathom why dolls are popular, but American Girl takes it to a whole new level. The mom purchases a doll for her daughter and then they take the doll to the store to give her a facial and such. Then they take the doll upstairs for lunch or dinner! There are high-chairs for the dolls. I saw a grown woman put a cup of water up to the doll's mouth ... the DOLL'S mouth for crying out loud. I just don't understand it.

Pretty sneaky! But it could be useful when you see something really neat and you don't want to carry a camcorder around.

I find it fascinating that people want movies to be flawless and "real" ... Don't we go to movies to escape reality? So these little errors shouldn't matter.
