Ursula's Comments

"Good afternoon. No, wait! Don't be alarmed. It's true, I used to be like so many gators, spending my days hanging around in swamps, eating whatever poor creature came my way. But then I discovered the Church of Latter Day Saints, and turned my life around. Can I come in for a moment and talk to you about your relationship with the Lord? I can? Great.

Now, about the Lord? Say hello to him for me, you fat, tasty idiot."

(My favorite so far is the HOOMANBURGER one.)

I wonder, was this just for kicks, or did it have something to do with both of them being wheelchair-bound..? (Looking at the picture, they have anatomy that looks a little unusual. But maybe they're just slouching or it's the low angle we're seeing them from or something.)

Actually, I could really, REALLY use something like this for my cat. He's an indoor cat, but we put him in the backyard for a little while each day so he can play. Every now and then the little jerk gets loose and runs around the neighborhood until we eventually track him down or he comes home. One time, he was gone for DAYS! It was really scary, we were afraid he'd died. I've been dreaming of some kind of tracker like this! Of course, it's probably too darn big for cats, but it's a step in the right direction.

If I'm understanding it correctly, these were animatronic creatures built for a live stage show they're doing down in Australia. The ones in the avrious WWD TV shows are almost all (not terribly effective) CGI, with a smattering of puppets. These suits look much, much better than the CGI stuff! Wow! If they could digitally remove the puppeteer's legs, they'd have effects worthy of the next Jurassic Park!

I have a bad hip and two bad knees, and I'm PRAYING something like this actually works. I have nightmares that six months after I finally break down and get all my joints replaced, they'll announce that they can repair cartilage with a pill or something.

Was that background poster used in the Terry Gilliam movie "Brazil"? Without the "American" headline, of course. Either it, or something extremely similar?
