I actually saw this firsthand. I work in downtown Seattle a couple of blocks from Qwest Field, and as I was walking to lunch on Thursday traffic was stopped in front of us by two police motorcycles, after which the rest of the police escort passed by with the DeLorean mentioned in the article. I had absolutely no clue what was going on until I saw the news story the next day though.
Hmmm... That would probably be a tossup between writing code to run on a Cray supercomputer back in high school or spending 6+ years working at Microsoft.
Here in Seattle, there's a low bridge at the University of Washington Arboretum which has claimed its fair share of vehicles over the years, the most recent one (reported by the local news, at least) being a tour bus full of high school softball players.
I don't fly all that often, but I can't recall ever having any truly terrible experiences with any one airline over another. If there's one thing I don't much care for on commercial airline flights, it's that I seem to end up on MD-80s all the time. They're cramped, noisy, and it seems that I end up on the things for 75% of the flights I take for some reason...
I'm pretty firmly on the Windows side (it's how I've made my living for quite a while,) but it's not even the Mac people that are the ones that annoy me (usually.) It's the Linux fanatics who can't stand the fact that there are still users out there who don't use open source...
