My great grandmother used to grow the BEST tomatoes. When asked how they turned out so wonderful, she responded that she peed on them. Whether she did or not, I don't know, but they were some damn good tomatoes!

PS: She was born in, raised in and died in Vermont.

I have never been able to get the Magic Eye images to be revealed. I don't know if it because I wear glasses, or have astigmatism, but I just can't get it to work. Pausing the video above and letting my eyes relax only makes the white dots jump out of place, not meet in the middle.

When my mom was in grade school (she is 55 now, you do the math;-) speed reading was the thing of the future, and, for that reason, was included as a standard part of her learning. Now, because it is so ingrained, she can't NOT speed read; she would have to completely retrain to read slower.

My own reading speed is average.

This is a self-scritcher for cats. With the points facing down, the cat takes the handle into his/her mouth and uses the self-scritcher to get at those hard to reach itchy spots. A favorite location for all cats is just at the base of the tail. However, self-scritching in this body area often leads to the cat adopting a pose most cats consider to be highly undignified: chest to the ground, hind legs on tippy-toes with butt and tail waving high in the air. Most cats try to avoid using the self-scritcher in public, and thus far, have avoided being recorded with one and the subsequent video placed on YouTube.com.

These remind me of the Midsummer Knight's Dream puppets (unicorns, dragons, natural animals, gryphons). I have a Jhari's cat which is wonderfully winged! It sits on my shoulder, and I can make its head move and turn with a mechanism on the tail that goes down your back. I first saw them at a ren fair many years ago. The website isn't great, but the puppets are! http://fantasypuppet.com/index.htm

The world can be such a beautiful place with beautiful moments like these; I don't understand why people would allow themselves to live with hate and fear.

Thank you for sharing this.
