I can't help but wonder what future archaeologists (perhaps aliens) will come up with when they find the ruins of Centralia, PA... Sink-holes, ground upheavals, poisonous gases venting, and yet some strange civilization build a town right on top of it! Perhaps they were worshipers of a fire god and this was their holy land. Or maybe this was one of a few habitable sites, with the subterranean heat providing a refuge from the encroaching glaciers, as the planet plunged into a new ice-age...

It wouldn't take long to figure out that sharing a wall with your neighbors, and having people walking across your roof all the time, isn't very pleasant. Not to mention moving furniture, water, and the infirm in and out would be a real bear.

I can see the attraction, though. Saving materials by sharing walls, and not needing to pave walkways. Elevated walkways and entrances providing great protection from large predators or most any troublesome animals.

Missing from the list are "The Brain That Wouldn't Die (1962)" and "The Doomsday Machine (1972)", either of which could get the top spot.

"Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" wasn't all that bad. Mundane, family friendly affair with a silly premise, but decent production values and competent actors/director/etc. made it not at all painful to watch.

All 3 are on archive.org for free download.

"Silent Hill (2006)" was pretty damn awful, too.

Quite interesting if you pay attention to the team moves. Los Angeles used-to have the Raiders and the Rams. Now, the LA area is full of Raiders fans. Meanwhile the Oakland area where they're now playing, is full of 49ers fans... Ouch. Meanwhile, nobody in LA is a fan of the Rams any more... Ouch. Sounds like the Raiders should seriously consider moving back down south.

Assuming the bills aren't being propped-up by phone books or whatnot, that's about 1,080 bundles. Assuming all $100 bills, that is $10.8 million.

Of course you could make something that photographed EXACTLY the same for under $10,000, using mostly $1 bills, phone books in the center to make it even cheaper, with just 54 $100 bills on the top.

And that's assuming real bills, instead of driving down to Hollywood to get a truck-load of fake cash that looks good on film.

There is also inflatable furniture that can be stored in a handbag. And the lightweight means you don't need a special frame to stash an air mattress against a wall or in a closet during the day. With a fairly thin padded cover, you wouldn't know it's inflatable.

But I'd call futons the best option. Can be very comfortable in both seating and laying positions, disassembles into pieces that'll fit in a small car, and wood (not metal!) frames are durable enough to last many years.

All 10 slots could be filled by Tool lyrics:

"Rob the grave to snow the cradle"

"a flaming stealth banana split the sky"

"Saturn ascends, choose one or ten. Hang on or be humbled again. Ignorant to the damage done."

"Let the oceans take and transmutate this cold and fated anchor. Give away the stone."

"The poetry that comes from the squaring off between,
And the circling is worth it."

"As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn beyond the lines of reason."

"What's coming through is alive. What's holding up is a mirror. But what's singing songs is a snake"

"Eleven and she was gone. Eleven is standing still, Waiting for me to free him"

"Out across your field, you could see two tiny people walking by your woods. You began to walk towards them. Now red was your color and, of course, those little people out there were yours too."

Dune is a very good film, but the visions, internal monologue, etc., were extremely clumsy, forced and ridiculously repetitive. That, cheesy effects, and more, did take the whole film down a notch or two.
