Greetings Cinema Lovers. Today, I want to reflect on Paul Thomas Anderson's latest film, Phantom Thread. Of all the romance dramas we get year round, I think this is one of the most honest in recent years. Much like more deliberately honest, yet strangely bizarre explorations into the complexity of love, Phantom Thread tells the story of Dressmaker in 1950's London and his complicatedly dependent romance with a woman he meets. Aside from having a fantastic and sadly final performance by Daniel Day Lewis, the film fully mixes and depicts the chaotic nature of an artists as he struggles to find that sense of balance he has been missing throughout his life. I hope all listening to this review comment, subscribe, and help support this podcast. Enjoy my ridiculous ranting.
