Precision Walking

There's walking and then there's precision walking. And it's a sport of sorts in Japan, complete with Precision Walking Competition (previously on Neatorama). There can only be one explanation: they're bots.

Hahaha! It's just a jump to the left, and then a step to the right. Put your hands on your hips. You bring your knees in tight. But it's the pelvis thrust that really drives you insane! :)

LOL No, we got our asses chewed by the instructors when they caught us. And we were halfway through coming up with a set of drill commands to lead troops through the Time Warp ("Jump...LEFT! Step...RIGHT!, ala Rocky Horror Picture Show). Hard work, but we had fun with it.

When I learned to march troops in the Army, the fanciest thing we ever did was play Chicken against each others' platoons. [The trick is to call a flanking maneuver at the last possible second, btw.]

Honestly, I find that more entertaining and interesting to watch than diving, figureskating, curling, or other such sports.
