Subway and KFC Battle It Out with Cookies

Do you want to drink in a bar that is brightly lit... or read in a library that is as dark as a normal bar?

I used to sometimes read my school book sin the school bar back when I went to McGill.

It is nice to know that something as antiquated as bound books are finding a new life as quaint decorations for bars and restaurants.

There used to be a good bar like this, called Scholars, near the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton. Unfortunately most of the bookshelves were lined with crappy books found at flea markets and garage sales.

I remember back in the '70s, the Hilton on Ft Laud Bch had a bar called The Library.. They also had a restaurant called the Bookseller! I loved going to them.. the only problem was that the books were all glued together so they couldn't be read!
