Nutella Cream Cheese Rolls

Nutella cream cheese rolls

Warning: you will burn yourself if you make these because you will be unable to resist stuffing them in your mouth as soon as they come out of the oven. Brandi Bidot folded Nutella into canned biscuit dough and then frosted the rolls with a mixture of cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract.

You Can Make Grilled Cheese In A Hotel Room

In Benny & Joon, Johnny Depp impresses his friends by grilling up some toasty sandwiches with a clothes iron. Curious as to whether or not the technique would work, Roy and Laura of South Philly Blocks tried the idea out for themselves. The results were successful, which means travellers now have a good cheap option to make their own tasty sandwiches from their hotel room -just remember to clean the iron well before checking out for the sake of the next guest.

3D Dino Treats

What's better than baking cute little dinosaur cookies? Baking the separate parts of the dinosaur so that you can connect the pieces and build an edible 3D dinosaur! Here are the details from Suck UK:

Cookie cutters in the shape of dinosaur body parts. Cut out cookie dough, bake in the oven, then slot the cookies together to make edible dinosaurs that will stand up your plate. Create the tastiest treats this side of the Jurassic period... then eat them into extinction. Each pack includes cutters for the body parts required to bake a whole dinosaur, with 4 to collect (Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus and T-Rex).

If you order more than one we will send you different dinosaurs.

Of course, depending on how creative you are and how good you are at cooking, there's so much more you can do with these 3D dino treats than just bake the cookies and put them together.

Oreo Cookie Cream Cameos

Artist Judith G. Klausner was told not to play with her food by her parents, so it's ironic that she grew up to be an artist known for her playful Oreo cookie cream cameos.

Judith creates much more than just cookie cream cameos, but her delicious cream sculptures are getting her a lot of attention these days so she's savoring the flavor of success!

Snowman Pretzels

snowman pretzels

Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul--and delicious! For each snowman pretzel, Beth Klosterboer joined two pretzel rings together with CandiQuick and covered the joint with a fruit roll-up scarf. She then filled the interior with more CandiQuick and added features with chocolate chips, a candy nose and a food coloring marker.

How to Make Dexter Eggs

Dexter Eggs

The opening sequence of Dexter is a masterpiece of directing. Dexter gets ready for the day, but everything he does has a muderous undertone. He splashes some hot sauce on his eggs, but the impression is that our favorite blood spatter expert is busy at his second job.

Instructables member Kimberly made cookies that look like Dexter's eggs. The eggs are coated with royal icing. The spattered hot sauce is gel food coloring and vodka.

Beertone

Whether you are brewing it or drinking it, I think we can all agree that beer is awesome. To help you navigate that awesome Beertone had created this color matching guide so you can better identify the beers you love so very much.

A lot of ideas stay on paper or locked in some sideboard in the office. Not this time. With Beertone we are trying to bring to life a simple idea, a Beer Reference Guide (like the picture above) based on beer's color.

The bright beers will start the guide ending with the dark ones. Each Beer will be presented with picture, description and of course its color Information, RGB, CMYK, Web, SRM (that's the beer color scale). We are shooting each beer, bottle and the beer itself in a glass.

The reference guides are available for pre-order and with a few different options. Link

The Sixty-Six Dollar Pizza

The folks at RocketNews24 reviewed Domino's new "luxury" pizza in Japan. Topped with Kobe beef, onions, potatoes, cheese and steak sauce, one pizza will run customers 5,800 yen, or about $66 U.S. The reviewers' verdict?

"The beef here really is sublime! From the first bite, the pure tastiness of the ingredients sets off a chain reaction inside the cerebral cavity. Before you know it, you find yourself entering into a state of pizza ecstasy.”

Ultimately, potential customers will have to decide whether they think "pizza ecstasy" is worth 66 dollars a pop.

How to Cut an Onion

(YouTube link)

How to Cut an Onion may be an unexpected subject for a TED Talk, but this informative piece by Bastyr University Culinary Curriculum Director Cynthia Lair goes beyond onions and speaks to our relationships with food. She eventually does cut an onion, using the same technique I do, except that I cut the first dimension before halving the onion, to avoid those risky horizontal cuts. -via Laughing Squid

Cheesecake Burritos

What's better than a regular cheesecake? Cheesecake that's been deep fried in a flour tortilla, of course. If you've ever had an apple burrito then you know just how amazing this idea is with the flaky, crispy shell around a soft, creamy filling. Yum!

Starcraft 2 Cookies

Starcraft 2 is a popular game, or so I am told. The most interesting thing about this community is that it's a group of people that love to do things- from musical parodies to Barcraft- the Starcraft scene is always active. I guess what I am trying to say is, they deserve some awesome looking cookies.

Made for an order over at Nerdache Cakes, the Zerg cookies look tasty. I think they could have thrown a little more love to the Terran, but hey I am just an SCV living in a drone's world. Then again if there was any more T in the cookies, Idra would be raging all over Neatorama. Just look at that spawning pool Greg! I bet he 6 pools.

Spam and Peanut Butter Cookies

spam and peanut butter cookies

Did Becky McKay ruin delicious Spam by adding yucky cookie dough to it? I haven't tried them, but her cookies sure look good. She candied the Spam by baking it with brown sugar. Next, she baked it into a standard peanut butter cookie recipe, then used the leftover Spam to make peanut butter and jelly spamwiches.

Candied Kentucky Fried Chicken Meal

Kentucky Fried Chicken meal

This delicious-looking meal didn't come from Kentucky Fried Chicken, but from Jill of Kitchen Fun with My Three Sons. The chicken legs are actually Rice Krispie treats, marshmallows and pretzel sticks with a Raisin Bran coating. The corn consists of Twinkies covered with jelly beans and a single yellow Starburst candy. The baked beans are really pudding with jelly babies.
