In the world of fandom there's no more brightly colored, bolder or more permanent way to show you are forever a fan than getting a tattoo. Your favorite pop culture characters often start out as ink on a page, so it only makes sense to get them immortalized as ink on your body. Tattooing is a creative and personal way to prove your unwavering dedication to your favorite franchise.

Comic Book Tattoos: Level Epic

For many fans the act of getting a tattoo of their favorite characters is the ultimate form of fandom, since it’s a permanent addition to their bodies, but the guy in these pics isn’t an ordinary fan. He has dedicated his entire body to characters from comic books, turning his arms and torso into a shrine for the superheroes he worships.

If anybody argues that he’s not the ultimate Marvelite he need only take off his shirt and stun them into admitting they were wrong with his incredibly cool ink. Let’s start with his left arm, where we see Cyclops, Gambit, Wolverine and Beast of the X-Men battling a Sentinel, with Angel flying in from above to lend a hand. Just to show that he’s a mighty big fan of the Jade Giant he has the Incredible Hulk tattooed on his inner bicep. Once the shirt comes off we find Venom and Carnage fighting it out for the privilege of pectoral placement. And then he turns around and shows you that the mighty Fin Fang Foom has his back!

Finishing our tour off on his right arm we see Spawn squaring off against Malebolgia, and above that there’s a Violator springing into battle.

Disney Delights

Ohana means family, and when you’re the star of a feature released by Disney you’re part of the largest family in animation history. This gal wasn’t content with getting only one or two members of the Disney family tattooed on her body, and this colorful collection of characters shows the diversity of features being put out by Disney these days. We’ve got Tinkerbell from Peter Pan flying overhead, Stitch from Lilo & Stitch smiling his cute little face off, the sweet ragdoll Sally posing and smiling pleasantly, and the Little Mermaid's Ariel spending some time above water with her animated friends.

On an arm far, far away we have another far out member of the Disney family- R2D2 proudly sporting a pair of Mickey Mouse ears. Welcome to the Disney Dark Side R2!

Before Marvel started getting it right on the big screen we were subjected to disasters like Daredevil starring Ben Affleck and Elektra starring Jennifer Garner, not to mention what they did to my beloved Howard The Duck back in ’86.

With the way things are going for Marvel nowadays it’s hard to imagine any of their future projects bombing, and it seems like they’ve got more characters than they need for those future projects.

But what about all the proposed projects that never left the drawing board?

Bands can earn their rep by playing really good music, putting on an amazing live performance, or they can scam their way into the spotlight with a gimmick.

Now, that’s not to say that all gimmicky bands are bad, or that all bands with offensive names lack talent, but there's something special about a band that manages to offend and delight at the same time.

Diffuser has put together a list of 27 Of The Most Offensive Band Names Ever, a list that includes great bands like the Butthole Surfers, Dead Kennedys and The Jesus Lizard, and a bunch of bands with extremely NSFW names.

But don't worry- the names are all edited, so your mind can remained unsullied, although the same cannot be said if you decide to listen to any of these bands!

We have little cameras attached to everything: to cars and helmets as a defense, to animals for LOLs, to public places for security, to microscopes and probes for research purposes, and to inanimate objects for all sorts of reasons. Bill Parker attached a GoPro camera to a Jedi Knight to record his point of view as he goes about his day wielding a light saber, using the Force, fighting Storm Troopers and other Imperial enemies, and restoring justice to the galaxy. So the new Suicide Squad movie is coming out soon, eh? It looks pretty (insert opinion here), and the internet really seems to care about this movie even if fans of the comic book series don’t.

But there’s good news! Because of the buzz people have started thinking outside the box, and we finally have something related to the movie that's worth watching- Jack Nicholson reacting to the Suicide Squad trailer.

To me, Comic Con is a lot like Christmas. I look forward to it all year round, but then when it arrives, I know I'll end up spending way too much money and running around frantically trying to complete everything I need to do before it's too late. That being said, Zeon and I did find plenty of time to get lots of great pictures of the cosplayers at the convention and here are a few of the best ones we spotted this year.

Lydia may not be happy to see Beetlejuice -especially when she magically appears in her red wedding dress, but I was sure happy to see the two of them.

These two adorable Vault Dwellers, portrayed by Jessica Nasserian and Gina Glenn, were ready to explore the wastes and were even ready to bribe strangers with custom-made Nuka Cola caps.

Comic Con might just be a bit of a wasteland too -I even stumbled upon a Mister Gutsy and a lovely woman in a pre-war dress offering up Sugar Bombs.

Then again, I also ran into Guile handing out American flag temporary tattoos and reminding kids that "winners don't use drugs" -so who knows what era we were in.

I love watching Joker and Harley from afar, but I sure wouldn't want to go to a sock hop with these two -who knows what trouble they'll cause?

Rebecca Millar’s daughter asked for a Black Widow doll. Unfortunately, she couldn’t find one locally and the cost of shipping one to her home in Australia was prohibitively high, so she made one. The doll was a huge hit, so she made more for her kid and others.

Millar has made them for a wide variety of fandoms, including DC, Marvel, and Star Trek. Pictured above are Uhura, Janeway, Dax, and Seven of Nine, all of whom, Millar sees as excellent role models for her daughter. You can see more of her dolls at her Facebook page.

J-Pop comes in many flavors, from hip hop to dance music to heavy metal, but they all seem to have one thing in common- the themes they choose for their songs are often quite bizarre.

Some choose to sing about cute things dying, or fart exercises, but the totally hip and happenin' group Ladybaby have chosen to sing about pastries? in their latest track “Nippon Manju”.

This colorful "Kawaiicore" group is headed by a cross dressing bearded guy from Australia, who has been described as the “Bizarro Andrew W.K.”

The world recently lost a video game legend, a man responsible for giving us such beloved franchises as Super Smash Bros. and Kirby, Nintendo’s mythical mastermind Satoru Iwata.

Satoru helped bring Nintendo back from the brink of destruction with both the Nintendo DS and the Wii console, and his legacy at the gaming company he loved like family will never be forgotten.

But Satoru’s creations didn’t just make the world a better place for gamers, his works inspired artists of all kinds to follow their hearts and chase their dreams no matter how lofty. Rest in peace, Satoru, and thanks for all the gaming goodness!

They say the first step to addiction recovery is to admit that you have a problem, and then you have to put whatever you’re addicted to down.

Comic-Con 2015 is officially over, and boy are my hips tired from carrying around my utility belt and giant bag of swag all weekend long.

There were lots of exciting Hall H announcements about our favorite geek franchises like Star Wars and Doctor Who, some surprise celeb appearances that caused the floor to be unbearably crowded, and plenty of pop culture love to go around.

But the really important announcements haven’t been shared like those overblown movie and TV sneak peeks, leaving us to wonder- what about all the noteworthy upcoming comic book releases?
