My Bookshelf

My bookshelf is actually three bookshelves, one large two medium, and no matter how hard I try I can't seem to whittle my collection down to one bookshelf because I keep finding new books to fall in love with.

And since I stopped collecting comics for the most part and now collect graphic novels instead my book collection has to be trimmed down a bit every so often because I'll be damned if I'm gonna buy another bookshelf!

Although...this Incidental Comics strip by Grant Snider does remind me I have two boxes full of books that fit in to many of these categories sitting in my garage waiting to be shelved...BOOKS! *shakes fist*

In 1963, no one lining the parade route was using a 'video camera'. They used 8mm and possibly 16mm film camera to shoot movies. The video camera wouldn't come into common usage outside a studio setting for another 15 years.

For all I know, he might be an internet crank, but I find Fischer's 1997 theory about the rongorongo script quite plausible and compelling.

I call BS on the Marfa lights. It's a fascinating phenomena, and I wouldn't blame Texas for building a viewing area. But Fata Morgana inversion layer mirages (a superior mirage type) are easily replicated and fairly easily tested, and even though there are some reports of lights that wouldn't follow that kind of phenomena, there are no credible photos or videos of non-compliant visages.

It explains well why they can't be seen close-up. Personally, I'd love to see them if I were in the area...meteorological phenomena are awesome!
