Campy Stained Glass by Amy Stewart

Amy Stewart is an artist in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. She works heavily in stained and painted glass. Stewart (or "Amy in the Aether", as she also calls herself) frequently uses motifs from Mid-Century Modern American pop art, including camp, burlesque, and the playfully supernatural.

Stewart's pieces often make use of negative space with cut-outs held in place with chains.

Stewart also identifies as an aerialist--that is, an acrobat or trapeze artist. Many of her compositions show beautiful non-human women performing for audiences, such as this juggling dullahan.

Her figures erupt out of their frames, giving the impression that they are immersed with our own world.
