Balls Bounce into Beautiful Patterns

Here we see a collection of ten physics simulations in which balls are released to bounce around. The astonishing part is the point in the middle of each sequence where the balls arrange themselves in a pattern. That can't really happen, can it? It's really nice to see anyway, and if you want to know how it's done, click on the spoiler quote.

It makes sense to me; our modern industrial society is out to get us, we have created a world that stresses us out, that harangues and harasses us, that invades our every concious moment until we go insane.

We can't tell where it ends and we beings, it's to the point that if we try to objectify it and see it for what it is, people think we're crazy.

A quote from the director...

"The film is sort of an observation of mine on how a lot of people function in society. The creatures in Terminus don't really exist. They're in people's heads, but the people try and function like nothing's wrong. They're sort of metaphors for living with anxiety or unresolved issues and trying to ignore it rather than deal with it."
