This Is The World’s Largest Painting

Sacha Jafri is using his art to raise funds for kids in need. His upcoming piece, The Journey of Humanity, will be the world’s largest painting on canvas. The artwork will also be used to raise $30 million to fund health and education projects for children living in poverty. The painting is approximately the size of two soccer fields, and will be unveiled to the public in November to be evaluated by the Guinness Book of World Records to certify that it is, indeed, the world's largest painting on canvas. My Modern Met has an exclusive interview with Jafri about his goals for this project and what it feels like to complete the world’s largest painting. Check the full piece here

Of cause it looks terrible! It only has the task of being the largest paining. When only size matters, why wasting any effort on content? And if you really intend to have a verly large scale painting with a decent motive, you have to invenst a lot of energy on ohw to paint it! Just pollocking a lot of paint on a large surface is so much easier, for the result does not even have to look as good as a real Jackson Pollock!...

Indeed it does. It's a fad since social media became a money-maker...call something the "whateverest" and it will be slapped in everyone's face, regardless of its artistic quality or merit. While this is, yes, art, I do not believe it has much merit. It required no skill to make, clearly.
