Proposed Flags of the Solar System

These flags for each of the planets in our solar system were designed by redditor Weslii. He said it was just something to do during a boring afternoon. The minimalist designs incorporate only circles, lines, and arcs, but still say something unique about each planet. What do think of them?  -via Metafilter

Thank you for that insight! As a biochemist-by-training, astronomy is an interesting topic to read about but I profess no deep understanding of the field.
I am surprised however that astronomers (be they planetary scientists or other types) don't agree with each other over the basics like the definition of planets and non-planets. Sure, we have controversies and disagreements in biology all the time - but I think all biologists pretty much agree on the basic taxonomic classifications (for example).

The object you refer to as "Planet Nine," which is hypothetical, as it has not yet been discovered, should be called "Planet X," as the latter is the standard term for a hypothesized but undiscovered planet. It is not the solar system's ninth planet, as the solar system already has more than eight planets. Dwarf planets are planets too; they are simply a subclass of planets.
