Photographer Travelled Around The World To Ask What Children Eat

Daily Bread: What Kids Eat Around the World is officially on sale today, published by @powerhousebooks! I asked kids from around the world to keep a journal of everything they ate in one week and then made portraits of them surrounded by their foods. I’ve found we’re at a tipping point. The balance of what most kids eat now is dramatically tipping away from homemade meals towards ultra-processed packaged foods and snacks. Nonetheless, there are communities around the world where slow food will never be displaced by junk food, where home cooked meals are the bedrock of family and culture, and where love and pride are sensed the aromas of stews and curries. #kids #culture #food #diet #globalization #homemade #whatkidseat #dailybread

How does your child eat compared to other children from around the world? For his project “Daily Bread,” photographer Gregg Segal took photos of kids from USA to Mexico to the Amazon rainforest with what they eat in a week.

Strirred by the rise in global obesity, American photographer Gregg Segal travelled the world to ask children what they eat in a week, as well as their hopes and dreams, and captured them alongside the meals.
