1997 Was A Very Good Year For Video Games

The 80s introduced us to console gaming, which created generations of lifelong gamers , but most of the games from the 80s would be seen as retro oddities and pure nostalgia by the 21st century.

However, many of the games that came out in the 90s are still revered and eagerly played by gamers to this day, and 1997 in particular was a great year to be a gamer.

97 is the year Final Fantasy VII, Fallout and GoldenEye 007 came out, three games that had such a massive impact on gaming they're still being talked about and worshipped by gamers to this day.

But let's not forget about a little game called Parappa The Rapper that came out in 97 too, as well as the incredibly captivating PC game The Curse Of Monkey Island, which is still inspiring makers of point-and-click adventure games to this day.
