Banjo had been picking up the puzzle pieces of his broken life ever since he was a cub, and he hadn't stopped to question why until the witch Gruntilda came to him in a dream. She bragged about how her magic had made him into the mindless character he was today, and how she had been controlling him his whole life like a pawn in her game, which was a hard honeycomb for Banjo to swallow. Banjo woke up in a cold sweat, wondering how much of the dream had been true, but when he saw Kazooie staring at him wildly he knew the truth- Gruntilda was just trying to mess with his head. So he set about making the perfect witch killing machine, something that would both skin and flay her at the same time, so Banjo would have something to snack on during those cold winter months...
