We admire the hero. We even root for the hero to win. But we love to watch the bad guys. Oh yeah, we wouldn't want them in our lives, but this is fiction, so we can admire their cunning and chutzpah, although we may feel a little guilty about it. Hey, there would be no drama without villains! It's the same for actors. The hero will most likely win, and might even have a long career, but the villain is more fun to portray.
