The Goofiest Shoes in the Metropolitan Museum of Art

I’ve mentioned before my earnest wish to visit New York City if for no other reason than to see the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which must be the greatest art museum in North America. Messy Nessy Chic has given me yet another reason to go: the Met has a collection of the weirdest shoes in the world, including this grassy sandal made by Beth Levine in the early 1990s. It's called “Barefoot in the Grass.” You can see a selection of other eccentric shoe designs owned by the Met at Messy Nessy Chic.

There's an Australian company called Kusa that sells "grass" flip-flops. I bought a pair for my wife last year - apparently very comfy once you get past the tickling!
