Twisted Sifter's recent photo of the day is actually from January 24 of 2014, taken after an avalanche in Glacier National Park in British Columbia, Canada. The Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks Facebook post from that day entitled "How to Tame Your Avalanche" shows this photo and others illustrating what park staff had to deal with.
